Things to do
The famous Butt of Lewis Lighthouse is a must see during your time in Ness but the real attraction of this area is its rugged coastline and beautiful beaches. We promise that the natural beauty and sense of seclusion will take your breath away.
Ness has plenty of useful amenities for you to take advantage of during your holiday. There is an excellent local shop (Cross Stores) that stocks absolutely everything you could ever need, just a short 10 minute walk from the house. There are several cafes in the area where you can enjoy tea and cake or a bite of lunch. The local Ness Historical Society is currently undergoing renovation but their cafe will remain open (we hear they do fabulous afternoon teas!). If you have not had enough exercise exploring the local scenery there is also a sports centre in Ness, which has a small gym, sauna, ten pin bowling alley and soft play area for kids. You can also hire bikes at the sports centre. There are many gift shops and galleries in Ness that are worth a visit including Breanish Tweed, the Harbour View Gallery and Borgh Pottery.
